EYE ON EARLY EDUCATION

Preprimary education gives children a solid foundation upon which all learning depends, making every stage of education that follows more effective and also more productive. If we talk about early education, then it is a term that refers to the period from a child's birth to when they enter kindergarten. This is the exact time when these children learn critical, social, and emotional skills, and a partnership is formed between the child, their parents, and teachers. This period is described as an important period in a child's development. It refers to the development of a child's personality.

Children learn as they play. Most importantly in play, children learn how to LEARN.

Play is an essential part of early learning. It is the lifeblood of the learning process. As children play, they are developing the cognitive, Socio-emotional, and physical skills, they will need to take them into successful adulthood. They are developing their curiosity, problem-solving, intentionality, flexibility, and verbal and non-verbal skills. Socio-emotionally they are developing their emotional-intelligence-learning confidence, co-operation, negotiation, sharing, empathy, and the best among these is how to communicate appropriately. Physically their fine motor and gross motor skills are being practiced and developed. Therefore " IT’S NOT JUST PLAY - THEY ARE SKILLS FOR LIFE!".

An early educator takes a hand, opens a mind touches a heart of a child.

If we talk about the educators of early education. Then, as an aspiring early education teacher, you need to have the right temperament. Patience, Creativity, Sensitivity, Communication Skills, and the ability to connect with children are arguably some of the most important qualifications. However, you are also expected to have the proper schooling and credentials, and each state sets its standards, for what they expect from certified teachers. Before beginning your path to becoming an early childhood educator, you should find out what the requirements are for your state or school where you want to teach or work as an early educator.

Now let’s talk about the history of early education. The history of Early Childhood Care And Education (ECCE) refers to the development of care and education of children from birth till they reach Kindergarten. ECCE has a global scope and caring for and educating young children has always been an integral part of human societies.

While the first two years of a child's life are spent in the creation of a child's first " sense of self". Most children are able to differentiate between themselves and others by their second year. This differentiation is crucial to the child's ability to determine how they should function in relation to other people. Parents can be seen as a child's first teacher and therefore an integral part of an early learning process.

Teaching children has a lot of responsibilities also. But it's fun to teach them. The children you teach may not remember youwhen they get older, but they will always have a part of you inside of them. The part that gives them hope and love and teaches them to believe in themselves.

The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn.
